The title track is sung by our own Storm Large and is a bold reimagining of the Italian folksong that became an Anti-Fascist Anthem in the 1940s, a modern call to resistance, and a joyous and uplifting tune for our trying times. In addition to the title track, this EP includes “Pourquoi tu vis,” sung by long-time Pink Martini lead vocalist China Forbes, a catchy French version of the funky 1970s Spanish classic “Porque te vas.” Forbes also provides vocals on an epic update to band’s original song “Aspettami,” and Edna Vazquez performs the enchanting “Destino,” a song written for a 1940s collaboration between Walt Disney and Salvador Dali.
