Insert Notes:

|XDR| The Capitol XDR logo is your assurance that this cassette has been manufactured using improvements to enhance quality throughout the duplicating process. Expanded Dynamic Range is obtained by major technical break-throughs in the reproduction of music cassettes. The XDR process dramatically improves the dynamic range of the recorded music on this cassette by greater than 13dB and virtually eliminates distortion and tape noise normally caused in the duplicating process. You can identify an XDR cassette by listening for a series of rapid tones prior to the music.

NEW WIDE-TRACK XDR MASTERING SYSTEM IMPROVES DYNAMIC RANGE
Capitol's one-inch wide duplicating masters allow for side by side tracking to achieve maximum stereo image, significantly wider frequency response, increased dynamic range and retention of clarity from the master tape.
These one-inch wide duplicating masters are prepared from the original master tapes without compromises in signal processing necessary in cutting the disc product. In the case of original digital recordings, the duplicating master is prepared directly from the digital master.
All XDR duplicating masters also incorporate the Dolby B professional encoding system, eliminating tape hiss and significantly increasing the overall signal-to-noise ratio. Result; Optimum clarity without distortion.

NEW XDR CASSETTE DUPLICATING SYSTEM
Capitol's developments in sophisticated high speed duplicating electronics, ensure the integrity of the wide-track mastering process, provide outstanding high frequency clarity, greater bass response, lower distortion, and expanded dynamics. Improvements in tape guidance design assures proper tape-to-head alignment, phase integrity, and adherence to industry azimuth standards. This provides excellent stereo image stability.

Also, you will hear a burst of different tones before the music starts. We call these tones "The Soundburst Test™" This XDR quality control feature is repeatedly monitored throughout the
duplication process by a high resolution scan. Only Capitol has "The Soundburst Test™ to verify faithful reproduction of the original master.

In addition, this tape has been duplicated using Dolby HX Professional Headroom Extension, which does not require decoding in playback.

NEW XDR CASSETTE PLASTICS QUALITY CONTROL ADVANCES.
After the quality control engineers confirm that the duplicated tapes meet XDR cassette specifications, the tape is loaded into precision molded shells. These precision molded shells are constantly monitored to assure conformance with dimensional standards. The sensitive area of tape engagement with the head is carefully controlled to maintain azimuth accuracy.

All XDR cassettes are manufactured on tape produced by Capitol Magnetic Products Division, incorporating the latest developments in magnetic oxides. XDR and "'The Soundburst Test"' are trademarks of Capitol Records, Inc. Dolby and the DId are trademarks of Dolby Laboratories Licensing Corporation.

NOTE: For further enhancement of sonic fidelity, have the playback heads on your tape deck checked for proper alignment and cleaned periodically. Also, if your cassette player offers choices, for best results set your tape selection dial to normal (or 120 micro seconds) and engage the Dolby B noise reduction mode.
