Born in Ecuador and based in Chicago, IL since 2018, Carolina Arroba is a live electronic music performer working in the modular synthesis format. Her jams are idiomatically straight-up techno, and then branch out to the realms of tech house and sometimes the experimental or (deceptively) minimalist techno subgenres. Exploring the relationship between body, machines and nature, she strives for creating an organic sound, often colored by synthesized field recordings from nature- the Andes Mountains, for example. Active since 2002, she performs regularly around the USA and abroad; this is her fourth physical release.
